DAC statement on COVID-19

DAC

As communities around the world grapple with a global pandemic, DAC has taken precautions to ensure the safety of our staff and partners, and, importantly, to deliver on our commitments to our clients. With the evolving COVID-19 situation, we have been following the advice of local authorities and health professionals as it relates to workplace cleanliness, restricting work-related and non-essential travel, and self-quarantining employees that have traveled to impacted areas.

We have been monitoring this fluid environment around all our DAC offices. We are taking proactive measures in helping to blunt the spread of the virus. Some of the measures we are taking include social distancing, which helps limit the overall community spread, but more importantly ensuring the safety and health of our employees so they can continue to work effectively on our client programs.

As of today, and in advance of any anticipated government directives, we have proactively implemented our Pandemic Preparedness Policy and will continue business as usual with our employees working remotely until March 31st, 2020 (this will be updated based on local office conditions). As a digital agency, DAC has had in place a remote working-from-home policy for some time now, so the transition will be seamless. Most of our team already know how to work from home. We are formalising this protocol for the next two weeks for everyone. This protocol will ensure no disruption to the delivery of our digital programs while keeping our collective teams safe.

Our teams have already been working with our clients to help to mitigate the short-term impact of COVID-19 to their businesses, and we will be there, as a partner, as the situation evolves and begins to normalise. We will keep our clients updated and will report any changes in our status, as we currently plan to return to our physical offices by March 31st, 2020. Our account teams will be following up individually to outline communication and escalation plans to ensure there is no impact to digital programs. I am confident that by doing our part and fulfilling our responsibility to the wider community, together we will emerge stronger from this time of temporary disruption.
