Some of the best and brightest digital marketers from several of Vancouver’s top companies came together last week at DAC’s Digital Marketing Round Table to discuss challenges and solutions related to current digital optimization trends. The event, which complemented the 2016 Retail West conference, brought together representatives from major retail, financial, utilities and e-commerce organizations, including Best Buy, Flight Centre, 7-Eleven, Overwaitea, MEC, London Drugs, Purdy’s, A&W, VanCity, Expedia.ca, Impart, BC Hydro, Bullfrog Power, Indochino and Spud.com.
The main themes discussed among the group were: the types of tools and culture necessary to become a data driven organization; priorities and challenges in building teams; and key areas of focus for 2017.
Michael Le Blanc, VP Marketing & Communications at the Retail Council of Canada, shared yet-to-be-released highlights of the 2016 E-commerce Benchmark Survey, which included exclusively Canadian data and important forecast, policy and trend information for 2017.
DAC would like to thank all participants and partners, in particular Retail Council of Canada and Telus World of Science that supported this year’s event.
