Internationally recognized program honors excellence in digital marketing among the world’s top marketers.
Leading industry publication Search Engine Land recently included DAC amongst the short list of nominees in the 2017 Landy Awards, selected from nearly 300 submissions from leading digital agencies, in-house marketing teams and individuals around the world.
DAC is proud to announce a finalist nomination for the Best Local Search Marketing Initiative category for work with Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO). BSRO has been a leader in the auto care and tire industry for generations. With four retail brands and 2,200 stores across the United States, one of BSRO’s major challenges is driving local traffic and leads across its entire footprint. DAC restructured BSRO’s search campaigns by creating a mobile-first strategy, with a balanced focus between national and local targeting to drive customers in-store. Tactics included custom bid strategies and a heavy focus on geo-modified messaging and targets, including an emphasis on “near me” query support. This enabled DAC to measure an 88% growth in BSRO leads and a tremendous impact to the business through Google’s store visits beta.
Tom Allen, the Director of Digital and CRM at Bridgestone Retail, was thrilled by the news. “We are honored to be nominated as a finalist for this prestigious industry award. Transforming our local digital presence has been instrumental in the business’ success. Our partnership with DAC is unique. There are few partnerships I’ve experienced where the teams are so closely connected on vision and the roadmap to execution. We couldn’t be more proud of this achievement.”
The Search Engine Land editorial staff and contributors are the primary judges for the campaign focused categories, while industry luminaries and independent partners serve as guest judges for the individual, agency and in-house team awards categories.
Michelle Robbins, the newly appointed SVP of Content an Editor-in-Chief of Search Engine Land, was incredibly impressed by the depth and scope of entries in this year’s competition. “As a first time judge, having the opportunity to pull back the curtain and examine the campaigns executed by some of the top search marketers in the industry was inspiring. The work done, creativity expressed, and results achieved demonstrate what a truly talented community it is that we serve.”
Robbins and Ginny Marvin, Associate Editor at Search Engine Land will also co-host this year’s awards presentation.
Marvin, now in her third year of judging the growing field of applicants, added “The consistently sophisticated, creative and inspiring quality of the campaigns submitted for the awards this year made judging a true honor. There is incredible work happening in search marketing, and the entries this year exemplify that.”
Winners will be announced during an evening awards ceremony and celebratory gala held on October 25, 2017 in New York City. The gala takes place during the week of Search Engine Land’s annual SMX Conference, where the search industry gathers for continuing education on best practices in SEO and search advertising.
The Search Engine Land Awards Gala is produced by Third Door Media, with the support of Marquee Sponsor Google. A portion of proceeds from the event benefit charity, with Third Door Media guaranteeing a minimum donation of $5,000 this year’s selected organization, Women Who Code.
