Members of DAC participated in Colour Me Rad on May 28th, 2016. The race was held at Downsview Park in Toronto and was attended by thousands of participants all looking for a new take on running.
The day started off early but the temperature was already pushing thirty degrees. Everyone was squeaky clean as they arrived at the course but it didn’t take long for team members to turn into a mother’s worst nightmare. Between the paint bombs, ‘slime’ guns and the eager volunteers, we were quickly transformed into running rainbows as we were plastered with yellows, greens, blues, purples and oranges. The heat ensured that every spec of paint adhered to our clothing and skin. But each team member persevered and left the event with a sense of accomplishment. I mean nothing says camaraderie like a face full of coloured corn starch right?!
Stay tuned next week where we explore DIY garbage bag upholstery…
