Marcel Labbe

Vice President, People & Culture | Mid-West Shepherd of Stuff
How I drive performance: Establish clear objectives, reward often, provide continuous feedback.

Marcel joined DAC in 2011, bringing with him a handsome beard and a wealth of marketing, sales, and HR expertise in a range of industries including real estate, telecommunications and banking. As the Vice President of Talent Management and Human Resources departments, Marcel has taken ownership of recruitment and retention programs, spearheaded new company HR policies and managed a merger of three companies across six offices.

He has also headed up communications teams, leading consultation, strategy and the creation and execution of innovative marketing and sales programs that often exceeded their company’s objectives. Providing coaching and mentoring for senior team members is just one way Marcel has always worked to promote a positive, growth-focused workplace culture.

Marcel’s professional and personal industry commitments include membership with the American Marketing Association (AMA), Chicago Interactive Marketing Association (CIMA), Business Marketing Association (BMA), Chicago and a role as Advisory Chair of the Canadian Men’s Health Foundation.

Something you don't know about me: In my 20s, I used to be a part-time hand and foot model. Due to an unfortunate soccer injury, my career path took a turn and I am where I am today due to my pinky toe.
Words to live by: If you look like your passport picture, you probably need the trip!
Brand I admire: George Foreman’s Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine. A silly invention that has sold more than 100 million units in 10 years! Who would have thought an indoor grill was such a home must-have!
