In a long-needed feature for Apple Map’s relaunch, Apple Business Connect now allows marketers to add Calls-To-Action on their local listings. These actions can be anything from scheduling an appointment, requesting a quote, or even buying tickets to a promoted event. Such actions are invaluable to online listing marketing, as they reduce the friction between a customer gaining interest in a business and then taking the manual action to fully invest in a potential purchase.
Google has allowed for links within Google Business Profiles platform for a long time, but Apple is quickly catching up with these fundamental features. Their recent integration does mean that these links don’t remain entirely within the Apple Maps platform. Clicking on one of these actions will more often lead to developer-created experiences using App Clips, apps, or universal links that open in a Safari web view. These custom Actions can be delivered using the Apple Business Connect API by Third-Party Partners or Enterprise companies that have an app.
