Robert returns to DAC from Horizon Next, where he served as VP, Managing Director to clients in the Canadian market. In his new role, Robert will leverage his diverse experience to deliver strategic support to DAC’s clients with larger and more complex programs. He will provide strategic counsel for new business development and help evolve DAC’s capabilities to meet changing client needs.
Having worked as a Project Manager, Data Analyst, Media Director, and Software Developer, Cooney is well-equipped to tackle high-value business problems that require multidiscipline solutions. As Cooney rejoins the DAC team, his primary goals include helping clients navigate and understand the impact of the changing media landscape on their brand’s strategies. His focus is building excitement and consensus across large agency-client teams to pioneer solutions and achieve unprecedented results.

Cooney’s educational background includes a Diploma in Computer Programming from Humber College, which he earned during the internet boom of the late 90s and early 2000s. While working as a developer full-time, he pursued a BA in Political Science at York University at night, demonstrating his dedication to personal growth and intellectual curiosity.
