Apple made a recent announcement that included some important items related to Apple Business Connect. As per Apple, “For the first time, businesses of all sizes around the world — even those without a brick-and-mortar presence — can manage the way they appear to over 1 billion Apple users using Apple Business Connect. Any verified business can now create a consistent brand and location presence across apps that customers use every day, including Apple Maps, Wallet, and Mail.”
One major highlight is the ability for non-brick-and-mortar stores to establish a presence across Apple’s ecosystem. Additionally, businesses can now sign up to display their brand in the Mail and Phone apps (starting next year) and customize their logo in Tap to Pay on iPhone.
With Branded Mail, businesses can showcase their brand name and logo in emails to customers, making their messages stand out in the Mail app and more easily recognizable. Businesses can sign up for Branded Mail today, with logos set to appear to customers later this year. For Tap to Pay, businesses can now choose to display their logo, rather than a generic category icon, when accepting payments through Tap to Pay on iPhone, ensuring customers know they are transacting with a trusted and verified business.
Apple continues its push into the local space, and this expansion of Apple Business Connect is shaping up to be an important focus for marketers in 2025 and beyond. Businesses that ensure a presence on this platform will reach entirely unique customers compared to those using Google Maps and other directories. As Apple grows its local listings marketplace, businesses must ensure they can be found across all platforms to maximize their reach to potential customers.
