DAC Names Vito Rezza as New Chief Financial Officer & Maura Pierson as Vice President of Media Planning

Maura Pierson

DAC, a leading international media agency, is pleased to announce the appointment of Maura Pierson as the company’s new Vice President of Media Planning. Pierson, a seasoned professional in both digital and traditional advertising, joins DAC with a rich history of creating innovative full-funnel media strategies. At DAC, she will focus on refining the agency’s media planning practice as it continues to expand its expertise in upper funnel and traditional media.

Pierson joins DAC from Wpromote, where she served as Senior Director, Media Strategy for over two years. Before that, she spent 4 years at Performics, during which she held the position of Media Director. Her experience includes building cross-channel activation and measurement strategies for brand and product launches across several verticals, as well as media activation across Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, Radio, Television, and Direct Sponsorship deals. Throughout her career, she has worked across many verticals including entertainment, apparel, luxury, telecommunications, education, and agriculture.

“Maura’s deep expertise in full-funnel media strategies and her innovative approach to media planning make her an invaluable addition to our team,” said Norm Hagarty, CEO at DAC. “Her appointment underscores our commitment to providing our clients with comprehensive media solutions that drive measurable results.”

Pierson’s approach to media planning is centered around the audience and their motivations, prioritizing the target audience and matching that with media activations that drive measurable results. When asked about her motivations for joining DAC, Pierson said, “I’m very excited to join the team of talented marketers at DAC and help bring more full-funnel plans to clients.”

Vito Rezza

DAC is also pleased to announce the appointment of Vito Rezza as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). An operationally oriented CFO, Rezza brings 30 years of experience in accelerating growth and financial transformation for both private and public companies.

He joins DAC from Jam3, where as CFO he helped triple the size of the business. Prior, he held a dual role of COO/CFO of IPG Mediabrands Canada where he was instrumental in the company’s expansion, growing the business by an average annual rate of approximately 25% between 2010 and 2018.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Vito to our executive team at this exciting inflection point for DAC,” said Norm Hagarty, CEO at DAC. “Vito brings invaluable experience rapidly scaling global organizations and building high-performance finance teams.”

Rezza’s vision for his new role at DAC focuses on sustainable growth and effective utilization of emerging technologies. “The Finance team at DAC is large and diverse and we need to be prepared for continued growth. We also need to look to how we can become more adept at our work with all the new technologies and tools available to us, including AI,” he explained.

Rezza will be tackling a host of exciting challenges, starting with the implementation of a new ERP system to move away from legacy systems and improve both internal and external reporting. “This will help the business leaders of DAC have better and more timely data points to aid in decision making as we continue accelerating our business,” he explained.

Rezza was drawn to DAC by the entrepreneurial spirit inherent in private companies. “It’s easier to make investments, move a little faster, and make some mistakes to help get you further along than your competitors. Mistakes do not get punished the same way when you are a private company versus being part of a public company,” he noted.
