Following the April 2015 acquisition of Make It Rain by North American digital performance agency DAC Group, David Jowett has been announced President of DAC Europe. In his new role, Jowett will oversee operations, portfolio growth and strategy for DAC Group, Europe. In addition to exploring new market growth for the parent company, DAC Group Inc., Jowett will lead the organic growth of recently acquired, UK based digital marketing agency, Make It Rain.
David Jowett, originally from the UK, had previously worked for just under two years in Toronto as President of Media at Vision 7 International, he returns to the UK to take up his new role. Speaking of his new role David said, “This is an exciting time to be joining the DAC network; the agency’s recent acquisition of Make It Rain will provide significant and immediate value to our clients and open doors to exciting growth opportunities for the agency, its people and the brands we represent.” He continued, “I’m looking forward to working with the entire Make It Rain team in establishing them as the go-to agency for geo-local digital performance at scale.” Norm Hagarty, CEO and Managing Partner of DAC Group, said “The combination of David’s passion, deep-rooted U.K. experience and well-rounded global market expertise adds a unique perspective to agency planning and growth strategy. He will be a tremendous asset to both our multi-national business and our North American Leadership Team.” His significant expertise will drive DAC’s and Make It Rain’s geo-local digital offering, local brand management capabilities and strategic growth in both the UK and European mainland. Having had 20 years of agency experience in both mature and developing markets, it is undoubted that he has a high level of understanding and expertise in new market introduction and expansion strategies. And now for something you maybe didn’t know; his go-to karaoke tune is Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen Campbell. Top notch.
