In this test, users leaving a review are prompted with specific service-related questions—for example, selecting which service was provided (e.g., Flood Clean-up, Mould Inspection) and optionally rating elements such as price satisfaction.

Why It Matters
-
More Structured Data in Reviews: These fields introduce richer, more searchable metadata into review content—ideal for AI and machine learning systems.
-
Enhanced AI Summaries: With clearly labelled service types and ratings, Google could create more precise review summaries and better match searcher intent.
-
Service-Specific Signals: Having customers clarify what service they received could help filter or prioritise reviews based on relevance in search.
What You Can Do
-
Monitor Your Reviews: Watch for new structured review formats appearing in your sector.
-
Encourage Detailed Feedback: When asking for reviews, prompt customers to include specifics about the service they received.
-
Optimise Your GBP Categories: Ensure your services are accurately listed in your Google Business Profile to align with how users may be prompted to review you.
