L\u2019incertitude est grande. Cela est vrai pour l\u2019\u00e9clatement d\u2019une bulle sp\u00e9culative ou en ce qui nous concerne actuellement, une pand\u00e9mie. Nous pouvons les pr\u00e9voir mais ne savons pas lorsqu\u2019elles arriveront.<\/p>\n<p>Quand l\u2019incertitude repose sur un \u00e9v\u00e9nement singulier tel qu\u2019un \u00ab\u00a0Cygne noir\u00a0\u00bb que nous d\u00e9taillerons, cette incertitude devient majeure. L\u2019\u00e9conomiste John Maynard Keynes parle alors d\u2019incertitude radicale et la d\u00e9finit comme une situation o\u00f9 \u00ab tout simplement, nous ne savons pas \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Une fois ce constat fait, qui nous rappelle Socrate \u00ab\u00a0Tout ce que je sais, c\u2019est que je ne sais rien\u00a0\u00bb, cela ne nous emp\u00eache pas d\u2019agir, au contraire, cela nous incite \u00e0 nous organiser pour mieux nous adapter \u00e0 l\u2019apr\u00e8s-crise.<\/p>\n<p>Sur le mod\u00e8le du cycle de vie des produits, une crise se compose de quatre phases :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<h3>Pr\u00e9-crise\u00a0: La vie est un long fleuve tranquille<\/h3>\n<p>Les lignes sont claires et d\u00e9finies, les mouvements et comportements des acteurs (entreprises, consommateurs\u2026) s\u2019inscrivent sur le long terme. Les strat\u00e9gies et incertitudes sont d\u00e9finies sur la base de donn\u00e9es et \u00e9v\u00e9nements pass\u00e9s. L\u2019\u00e9conomiste am\u00e9ricain Frank Knight indique que face \u00e0 d\u2019\u00e9ventuelles incertitudes lors de cette phase, il est souvent possible de se couvrir, par exemple au moyen d\u2019un contrat d\u2019assurance.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Une crise\u00a0ou un \u00ab\u00a0Cygne noir\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0?<\/h3>\n<p>Le statisticien franco-am\u00e9ricano-libanais Nassim Nicholas Taleb a d\u00e9fini en 2007 le \u00ab\u00a0Cygne noir\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0comme un \u00e9v\u00e9nement dont la survenue n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9vue et qui g\u00e9n\u00e8re un impact important sur le cours de l\u2019histoire. Le 11 Septembre est un exemple de Cygne Noir. Le Covid-19 en est un autre.<\/p>\n<p>Lors d\u2019une crise de l\u2019ampleur de celle d\u2019un \u00ab\u00a0Cygne noir\u00a0\u00bb, les entreprises doivent instantan\u00e9ment s\u2019adapter aux comportements parfois inverses \u00e0 ceux adopt\u00e9s les jours pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents. C\u2019est une question de survie car suivant une loi de Darwin acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9e, les entreprises qui ne s\u2019adaptent pas ou qui ne sont pas suffisamment subventionn\u00e9es\/financ\u00e9es disparaissent g\u00e9n\u00e9rant un cercle vicieux\u00a0: ch\u00f4mage, baisse de la consommation, faillite d\u2019entreprises. Il est donc important pour les marques de maintenir un lien avec les consommateurs afin de reprendre au plus vite les habitudes d&#8217;achat d&#8217;avant crise.
