By now you&#8217;ve probably seen them without even realising it. If you still don\u2019t don\u2019t what I\u2019m talking about, search for \u201camazon\u201d and you should get something like the following on the right hand side.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ambergreeninternetmarketing.com\/wpe-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Google+Screenshot.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2085\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ambergreeninternetmarketing.com\/wpe-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Google+Screenshot-200x289.png\" alt=\"Google+Screenshot\" width=\"200\" height=\"289\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>What\u2019s the big deal? <\/b><\/p>\n<p>These sidebars tend to turn up for brand related terms (like Amazon) and so provide an opportunity to further control brand messaging. It will also drive help engagement in Google, which in turn helps with personalised search and helps provide an additional platform to communicate with searchers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do I get it?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So while looking into how to actually get the sidebar, I came across the a <a href=\"http:\/\/webmasters.stackexchange.com\/questions\/39954\/how-do-you-get-your-google-profile-displayed-in-the-right-hand-sidebar-of-the-g\">a thread on Stack Exchange<\/a> which gave some information, but essentially concluded that that Google \u201cdoesn&#8217;t guarantee that Google will include your profile in the search results\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>While nothing in SEO is certain, I wanted to know what the most important factors guiding whether Google will show Google+ page are. What I\u2019ve produced is a little more modest &#8211; a list of all the <i>potential<\/i> factors. This has been useful for me for the clients that I work with, so hopefully it will be useful for you too. If there is anything I haven\u2019t thought of let me know, and I will amend the article.
