Technical SEO Consultant Edinburgh, SCT

We are now looking to expand our Technical SEO team based at our office in Edinburgh.

 

The Technical SEO Consultant will help develop and execute the Ambergreen SEO strategy, along with the Paid Media, Marketing, Content and Creative teams.  You will provide appropriate search and other internet marketing solutions for clients..  You will have an opportunity to build on experience you have gained as a result of your successful proven history in organic search marketing.

Responsibilities
  • You will dig into keyword research, competitive analysis, page optimization, link building, and everything associated with SEO
  • Be the Lead for ensuring that technical audits are carried out for client websites looking into all onsite issues that could negatively impact the site’s ability to perform well in organic search results.
  • Monitor Google Webmaster Tools accounts and alerting Account Manager’s on any issues, errors or threats to the client’s sites and working with them and clients collaboratively to resolve it.
  • Work with client teams on a consistent basis to help support/mentor/train technical work as required.
  • Take ownership of migration projects and develop and implement a Migration Planner than can be used across various projects and clients.
  • Work on automation and develop tools/scripts that make working more efficient.
  • Be fully involved with GA setup, API implementation and integration for clients. Review the full setup of GA Universal Analytics, tagging solutions such as TagMan and Google Tag Manger.
  • Be involved in formulation of pitches where input on a technical side is required and attend proposal and pitch meetings as required.
  • Be involved with training both internal and external (clients) and also looking into training opportunities to sell it as a service to clients by working with the Account Manager’s.
  • Support the account management team in increasing revenue by selling clients various strategies and reducing the effort we need to put in to create these.
  • Learn and provide Local Presence Management, auditing, implementation and helping sales teams, client service and clients  develop their local search presence and identify related marketing opportunities to help clients identify and reach their goals.
Requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience working in an agency environment, managing large-scale, complex, results-driven projects
  • It is desirable that the successful candidate has a relevant qualification in Marketing or related study, coupled with a good level of business understanding
  • Highly literate with a good understanding of how language is used
  • The ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Comfortable with showing what data means and how we can take action based upon it
  • A team player who can motivate and leads by example.
  • Commitment to deliver first-class work every time, and never leave a quality issue unchecked
  • Diligence and attention to detail in optimisation and reporting
  • Capable of representing the business in a professional manner to high profile clients
