Email Developer

Our Dev Studio team is looking for a Email Developer to join our dynamic Technology team in Toronto. You will play an important role in the end-to-end process of Email Development. Work in our open and collaborative environment with great people, catered breakfasts, snacks and drinks.  With onsite parking, our offices are also steps away from the Leslie TTC subway station. Requirements: 

  • Manage the end to end process of email development including HTML coding, testing and the deployment of email marketing campaigns 
  • The HTML Email Developer is also responsible for being a subject matter expert on email marketing best practices and has proven project management skills 
  • Developing HTML emails to meet channel best practices for viewing across multiple platforms and mobile devices 
  • Coordination of the end-to-end email production process ensuring that deadlines are met, and emails are created and sent without error 
  • Be a subject matter expert on channel best practices including optimization tactics and expert knowledge of CASL & CAN-SPAM regulations 
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Reporting and analysis/evaluation of email campaign results through Google Analytics 
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards with respect to email development and online marketing and be able to research, recommend, and apply/roll out new technologies as they emerge 

Mandatory Skills: 

  • 3+ years of email marketing experience with an emphasis in HTML Email Development, preferably in the financial or retail industry 
  • Advanced knowledge and at least 2 to 3 years’ experience using HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3 required 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with a preference in SalesForce Marketing Cloud (formerly ExactTarget) and Adobe Campaign (nice to have). 
  • Quick thinking problem solver learns quickly 

Nice to Have Skills: 

  • Knowledge of computer graphics packages such as Adobe Photoshop 
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Knowledge of ASP.Net / C# / PHP / SQL 
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) including Drupal / Kentico / Umbraco / AEM (Adobe Experience Manager)
