Francie Nichols

Partner, Director of Marketing Research

Francie has over 30 years of experience in B2C and B2B advertising. She was Director of Media Services for several advertising agencies, including Hutchins/Y&R, then a regional office of Young & Rubicam. Her background in B2B and high-tech is especially relevant for the world of directional media, where lead generation is paramount. With her knowledge of research, testing procedures, and ROI models, Francie is well-suited to deliver accountable programs to DAC Group’s advertisers.

Working with a team of researchers and marketers, Francie’s research group strives to understand the new dynamics of the consumer purchase process, which varies for every client, depending on the product or service. Key to this is gaining an understanding of the appropriate budget allocation between traditional media and digital opportunities such as Internet Yellow Pages, search, local search, wireless use, and others.

Francie’s group works closely with industry associations and leaders to establish the framework for research tools that are responsive to client needs and meet research standards for objectivity and reliability. One of her favorite quotes, this from Ross Perot, is: “Chance favors the mentally prepared.”

When not working, Francie has a broad range of interests and activities, including playing tennis and golf, downhill skiing, reading, going to theater and movies. She believes that curiosity keeps you young.
